The choice to play Fiorentina-Juventus despite the state of emergency in Tuscany due to the flood caused a lot of controversy. The mayor, Dario Nardella, underlining that the responsibility for the holding of a football match does not belong to the Municipality but “solely and exclusively to the Lega Serie A”, then added: “I have clearly posed the problem to the president, Lorenzo Casini of the advisability of the postponement. I also spoke about it with Minister Piantedosi even though I find these controversies really out of place at a time like this.” Which exploded anyway and among the first to ride them was the senator of Italia Viva Matteo Renzi who announced a parliamentary question.
