The Monzalbarba sports center hosted, on the afternoon of Saturday, November 11, the northern sector phase of the 2023 absolute Spanish Judo championship, in which Jacetan athletes have obtained brilliant results:
Leonardo Cruz Leonarte: Third classified at -73 kilos Jara Checa Ciprián: Third classified at – 63 kilos Alba Cajal Orós: Third classified at -70 kilos
Leonardo Cruz and Jara Checa are athletes from the Kanpai club, while Alba Cajal currently plays in the Binéfar judo club.
From the podium of the Aragon Championship to that of the Spanish Championship
It must be remembered that on October 28, 178 judokas representing all the clubs in the community met in Jaca to participate in a stage of technification. The culmination of the concentration was Aragon Absolute Judo Championship 2023. In it, the three Jacetanos, Cruz, Checa and Cajal, already became protagonists, winning two gold medals and one silver, respectively.
The Kanpai Judo Club Sports Group It was founded on January 1, 1967 in Jaca. Its objective is to promote the practice and teaching of judo and its associated sports. It currently has its headquarters at the Olimpia de Jaca Municipal Sports Center, by virtue of the collaboration agreement it maintains with the Jaca City Council, for the development of its purposes, among which stands out the execution of the different Schools, which are carried out during the teaching days of the school calendar.
