Jordi Grimau manages to reach a thousand rebounds captured in FEB competitions

Jordi Grimau, captain of the Sant Antoni Basketball Class of the LEB Plata, has reached the magical figure of 1,000 captured rebounds in the competitions that are under the auspices of the Spanish Basketball Federation, according to the data offered by the same federative entity. His stage as a professional player in the ACB is excluded, in which he accumulated 732 rebounds.

Grimau, undisputed leader of the Portmany team, of which he is also its sports director, has reached a thousand catches by adding the records of his participations in EBA and LEB (in various denominations). The four rebounds added last weekend in his team’s game against CB Prat (all of them defensive) have made the veteran basketball player now have 1,000 rebounds, of which 253 are defensive and 747 offensive.

An impeccable sporting career

His first participation in the EBA was in the 1999-2000 season, and in 2002-03 he made the jump to the LEB. Between 2007-08 and 16-17 Grimau was uninterrupted in the ACB, in which he had already debuted in the 2001-02 season with Barcelona. He also played in the top category in the years 2002-03 (with Caprabo Lleida) and 2005-06 (with TAU Cerámica), to end up consolidating himself in it. Additionally, since 17-18, he has played in LEB Oro, EBA and LEB Plata.

In FEB competitions, according to the Federation’s own records, he has also made a whopping 351 appearances in official matches, with 8,408 minutes and 15 seconds on the track. He has a total of 3,750 points, with an average of just over 10 per game. He also highlights that he already has 665 assists, 344 recovered balls and 547 lost balls. Numbers, all of them, that will increase because the shooting guard, who is 40 years old, will complete at least this season.
