MIAMI — Outfielder Jorge Soler exercised his opt-out option on the final year of his contract with the Miami Marlins, becoming a free agent.

Ahead of the 2022 season, the 31-year-old Cuban agreed to a three-year, $36M pact.

He played in the All-Star Game for the first time in his career.
