Latvian footballers lose to Poland in a test match

Przemysław Frankowski and Robert Lewandowski scored for the Polish national team.

Already in the second minute of the game, Rihard Matrevic’s vigilance was tested by Sebastians Šimaņskis, as the Latvian goalkeeper saved the ball. However, in the seventh minute, after a cross, Frankovski remained unguarded at the right post and sent the ball into the net – 1:0 for the Polish national team.

In the first half, the Latvians tried to respond with counterattacks, and in one of the episodes, Eduards Daškėvičs was close to threatening the opponent’s goal.

At the end of the half, the Polish footballers put a lot of pressure on the goal of the Latvian national team, Matrevics saving the Latvians several more times from getting even more behind.

In the second half, it took only two and a half minutes for the Poles to make it 2-0 – after a cross in the penalty area, Lewandowski headed the ball into the goal. In the second ten minutes of the half, Jānis Ikaunieks scored an excellent free kick, after which only the mastery of the opponent’s goalkeeper Marcins Bulkas saved them from losing a goal.

In the second half of the half, neither team had an excellent chance to change the outcome of the match. At the end of regular time, Antonijs Chernomordys left the field due to an injury, just like before, Nikola Zalevskis was forced to replace, against whom the Latvian footballer violated the rules.
