Nathan McKinnon Leads Colorado Avalanche Despite Injury Concerns

With seven and a half minutes remaining, with the Colorado Avalanche leading by one goal, Nathan McKinnon blocked a Brock Besser shot with his leg. The team’s star continued the match and gave an assist to Miko Rantanen, however, McKinnon was sent for X-rays after the game.

The 28-year-old McKinnon has scored six goals and 23 points in 18 games this season. Only guard Kyle Makar (29 points) and Rantanen (25 points) are more productive than him.

The Avalanche are in second place in the Central Division standings, two points behind the Dallas Stars.
