Red Bull and Max Verstappen Set to Maintain Dominance in 2024 with RB20 Model

Red Bull and Max Verstappen are dominating the 2023 season, so much so that attention is already turned to next year. There are rumors that Red Bull may once again be able to maintain its dominance in 2024. The RB20 will once again be the car to beat.

Previously Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez described the RB19 as “very slow” and unbalanced especially in the presence of strong winds (following the Interlagos GP). However, Adrian Newey (Rebull engineer) intervened during the technical debriefing, giving indications in view of the RB20 for 2024.

Also considering that next year we will have 4 Redbulls potentially competing for the world title, the RB20 will undoubtedly be an extreme version of the concepts developed by the RB19, maintaining visual similarities but following a different aerodynamic concept. The design is expected to be more refined, with a radically different distribution and generation of aerodynamic load. The floor will function differently, with a different volumetric conformation of the Venturi channels to improve the ground effect and stability of the car.

Technical director Pierre Wache and aerodynamics experts have repeatedly expressed great satisfaction with the RB19, defining it as practically perfect. The new project will integrate changes identified as solutions to some weak points of the current car found only during the season.

In short, while their opponents try to find ways to catch up with Red Bull and Max Verstappen, the team seems already committed to radical steps and high-level to maintain their dominant position in the foreseeable future. We also wondered if Max Verstappen has what it takes to become the strongest driver ever. Given his young age, and considering his successes, he is not so unthinkable.
