Straka remains in midfield in Dubai

Sepp Straka is still in midfield after the third day of the World Tour Championship in Dubai. The 30-year-old played a round of 68 on Saturday, just like the day before, with seven birdies and three bogeys, moving up two positions to 27th place. Straka holds the prize with 10.5 million US dollars (around 9.6 million . Euro) endowed final tournament at Jumeirah Golf Estates, the most highly endowed competition on the World Tour, with a total of six under par.

The Englishman Matthew Wallace took the lead with an outstanding round of 60 with twelve birdies and a total of 16 under par. The Northern Irishman Rory McIlroy played by far his best round with a 65 and climbed to 19th place. The 34-year-old was second in the world rankings before the tournament was declared the overall winner of the World Tour in Dubai. McIlroy will be presented with the “Race to Dubai” trophy on Sunday for the fifth time after 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2022.
