Successful Badminton Championship at UC Temuco Sports Complex

Basic education students from Colegio Hebreo, Instituto Claret and Escuela El Tesoro participated in this activity

A coordination effort between graduates of the Pedagogy in Physical Education degree, together with others who develop their professional practice, in addition to students who are studying the sports projects course, was possible to materialize the Badminton championship at the UC Temuco Sports Complex.

Sofía Zamora, Physical Education teacher, Badminton workshop at the “El Tesoro” School, pointed out that thanks to the coordination of the colleagues who take the sports projects class, it was possible to have teams of judges and referees for the development of the competition.

For his part, Felipe Vergara, a fifth-year student of the degree and who develops his professional practice at the Hebrew School of Temuco, regarding the holding of the championship, noted that “My experience has been comforting, it has helped me a lot and has made it possible for us to hold this championship at the Catholic University of Temuco. Together with other practitioners, with Professor Bermúdez and graduates, we decided to do this, which we regularly do among the same colleagues and we wanted to give it a different touch of taking advantage of our practice and being able to manage our experience with the boys and girls.”

Winners

The school championship was divided into the categories 4th, 5th and 6th basic female and male, as well as seventh and eighth basic in both genders, with Cori Rivas being the winners in the fourth to sixth basic female category and Maitreya Poffald in the 7th and 8th female category. .

Meanwhile, in the fourth to sixth basic men’s category, the winner of the tournament was Joab Tapia, while in the 7th and 8th men’s category, the first prize was won by Brayan Lepín.
