Switzerland and Romania qualify for Euro 2024

Hooked by Kosovo, Switzerland provided the essentials and obtained its ticket for Euro 2024 (June 14 – July 14). The Romanians beat Israel and took first place in Group I.

After a largely dominated first period (eleven shots, three on target against one shot off target), Switzerland opened the scoring upon returning from the locker room, through Ruben Vargas, well served by the Monegasque, Denis Zakaria (47th) . 10 minutes from the end, Mohuamet Hyseni cooled the Nati supporters, ultimately without consequences (1-1).

Switzerland will do well at Euro 2024, even if Manuel Akanji’s teammates recorded a third draw in a row (after that against Belarus (3-3) and Israel (1-1)) in this qualifying phase . Kosovo, for its part, is fourth in Group I.

Romania first in the group and qualified for Euro 2024

Romania faced Israel in a relocated stadium, at the Pancho Arena (Felcsut, Hungary), due to the conflict affecting the Middle East country. The Romanians won 2 goals to 1, despite the opening score of 36-year-old striker Eran Zahavi (2nd).

George Puscas (10th) and Ianis Hagi (63rd) allowed the Romanians to take first place in Group I and ensure qualification for the next Euro. The red card from Valentin Mihaila (85th) changed nothing in the appearance of the match.
