The 3rd World Top 12 Baseball Tournament organized by WBSC (World Baseball and Softball Council) will be held from November 10th to 24th next year. WBSC President Riccardo Fraccari said, “Following the two very successful top 12 events in 2015 and 2019, we are looking forward to the third event next year.” Japan has hosted the top 12 for three consecutive years. The 12 participating teams in the World Top 12 will be determined based on the World Baseball Rankings as of December 31 this year. Taiwan failed to make it to the semi-finals in the first top 12 tournament in 2015 and ended up ranked 9th; however, Taiwan made it into the semi-finals in the last top 12 tournament in 2019 and ended up in 5th place.
