Teenager from Rebréchien Achieves Second Remarkable Moment as Ball Boy at Tennis Finals

After the ladies’ final at Roland Garros last June, Dorian Toussaint-Tardif, a 15-year-old teenager from Rebréchien, has just experienced a second exceptional moment as a ball boy. Indeed, on Sunday November 5, at the Rolex Paris Master which took place all week at the Accor Arena in Bercy, he officiated during the doubles final and then the men’s singles final.

A week of tennis immersion

He was therefore in the front row to witness the coronation of Novak Djokovic who at the same time won his seventh Bercy and his fortieth Masters 1000. With the nineteen other collectors, he also posed with the Serb after his victory. As he did with the Polish Iga Swiatek, winner of Roland-Garros. A photo which is also above his bed. It’s a safe bet that a second photo should soon find a place, in the same place.

Joined on Sunday evening on the road back to Loiret, Dorian was still in his bubble. He spent his week immersed in tennis. He spent his time at the Accor Arena.

“It didn’t take me long to get back into the swing of things. I took advantage of qualifying, Saturday and Sunday (October 28 and 29), to adjust my throws.”

“Half-confident”

Of the 58 collectors selected for the event, the twenty best were selected for the finals on Sunday. The verdict fell Friday evening, in the locker room. “I was half confident. But I didn’t know it right away because I was in full rotation,” explains Dorian, who learned the good news once he left the court.

“It’s great what Dorian has experienced but he must remain modest,” recalls Muriel, his mother who keeps an eye on ensuring that her third and last son keeps his feet on the ground. Monday, November 6, he also returned to Benjamin-Franklin high school, in Orléans, where he is in second grade.

The next step ? The response to the letter he sent in order to participate again in Roland-Garros, in 2024. It should be fixed in January or February.
