The Ibizan Paulina Buforn, closer to the absolute handball World Cup

The Ibizan Paulina Pérez Buforn is closer to the absolute women’s handball World Championship. Ambros Martín announced yesterday the Guerreras call-up for the International Tournament in Spain and the BM Porriño player is on the list. The competition will be held between November 24 and 26 in Santander, being the last test for the national team before heading towards the 2023 World Championship.

There are 19 players chosen by the national coach for the decisive preparatory phase in Cantabria, from which those chosen for the final list of the World Cup event will emerge. This is celebrated between November 29 and December 17 in Denmark, Norway and Sweden.

It should be remembered that this 2023 World Championship is the last way for the Guerreras to be present in the Pre-Olympic and, thus, be able to represent our women’s handball in Paris 2024.

Before leaving for the World Cup, the Warriors face three demanding matches against Argentina, Serbia and Japan, the three rivals to beat in the 2023 Spain International Tournament.

The Santander Sports Palace will host the competition which, despite its friendly nature, seems essential to reach the World Cup debut match against Kazakhstan in full condition (November 29, 8:30 p.m.).
