Four TTT players – Ieva Pulvere, Vanesa Jas, Louise Silas and Evelina Otto – returned from the European Championship qualifying match in France on November 10. Gabija Meshkonite was busy with the Lithuanian national team for three days longer, winning victories over the national teams of Azerbaijan and Poland.
In Vilnius, the coaches had nine players available – Evelina Otto did not play on Wednesday. “Kibirkštis” did not have a full team either, because the play manager Dalia Donskihīte did not go to the field. The girls from Riga looked better rested, played faster and won a convincing victory.

Already in the first minutes, the girls from Riga succeeded in several quick counterattacks, the players getting to the bottom of the basket alone. TTT’s speed also created opportunities for free throws from the perimeter. The first three attempts were unsuccessful, but soon Margo Clavo stood out with two long shots.
The speed did not hinder the quality of the performance. Riga girls made only six mistakes in the first half, but Klavo and Meshkonite reached double figures in points scored. In the ranks of “Kibirkštis” there were no stable scorers, moreover, the home team’s shooting accuracy did not exceed the 30% mark.
TTT met the halftime break with a 15-point advantage – 39:24. The next breakthrough followed at the beginning of the third quarter, when Ieva Pulvere made two long shots. By the end of half an hour, all nine guest players scored points, but the girls from Riga achieved plus twenty-eight – 62:34.
Nothing changed in the fourth quarter either. Only one “Kibirkštis” player scored at least 10 points, while TTT had five. Vilnius basketball players accumulated 29 mistakes and with such indicators they could not hope for a favorable outcome.

Rules of play
Thirteen teams, competing at home and away, will play a two-round tournament (24 games). The winner of the main tournament will automatically qualify for the “Final of Four”, while the 2nd-7th the season of the place holder will continue in the playoffs. The winners of the quarter finals will be determined in the sum of two games.
