The municipal president Ricardo Ahued Bardahuil, accompanied by councilor Diego David Florescano Pérez, yesterday received members of the UV Chileros Foundation Academy, a representative that will attend the National Basketball Cup to be held in Monterrey, Nuevo León, on the 5th and 6th of December.
Representing Xalapa and the state of Veracruz, they will face teams from Chihuahua, Tamaulipas, Oaxaca and Nuevo León in the 14 to 16 year old category.
According to coach Said Lastra, the City Council’s support for local sports is essential to offer a path of healthy coexistence to girls and boys, as well as to promote values among youth.
