A PSG player to save OL?

While Olympique Lyonnais should be particularly active this winter, expecting no less than five reinforcements, one left behind at PSG is in the sights of the Rhone leaders.

The statistics no longer give them any chance. With only 7 points on the clock after 14 days of Ligue 1, Olympique Lyonnais seems doomed, no team having managed to maintain itself after such a start to the season since 1948. The shortcomings displayed by the Lyonnais and their attitude are, for many observers, even more worrying.

OL nevertheless received good news at the start of the week: the DNCG lifted the sanctions weighing on the club and Les Gones will therefore be authorized to recruit this winter, within the limits of the new budget it presented. The transfer envelope will therefore be 50 million euros and could even increase depending on possible sales. And that will be necessary given the desire of Lyon’s leaders to fundamentally renew the squad. To believe The teamfive positions are already targeted with the desire to recruit experienced players: a central defender, a defensive midfielder, a relay midfielder, a winger and a center forward.

OL won’t have it easy…

Several names have already been mentioned, including the Moroccan Nayef Aguerd and the Algerian Saïd Benrahama, both at West Ham. And too bad for the CAN which would deprive OL of its two recruits for a good part of the winter. The task nevertheless promises to be difficult for Rhone decision-makers. It will be the same in midfield where the red lantern of Ligue 1 would target the Argentinian of Betis Guido Rodriguez and the Milanese Rade Krunic, already targeted this summer.

And in attack, Olympique Lyonnais is once again looking towards PSG. The residents of Groupama Stadium would indeed like to attract Hugo Etikite, who has become persona non grata in the capital. But if his departure from Paris is in no doubt, the former Rémois will not lack courtiers, particularly in England, where his rating is very high and where clubs are willing to pay the requested 35 million euros. For their part, OL have few arguments to put forward and convincing the Parisian striker looks like a mission impossible.
