Analyzing the First Phase of the U19 Gold Championship: Group Standings and Next Phases

The second phase of the program is expected to begin these days U19 Gold Championship of the Liguria Regional Committee. Record of 0-6, however, for Basket Ospedaletti, which thus passes to the Smart Phase.

There were two teams that took the reins of Girone B, both referring to the same company. Record of 5-1 for Pallacanestro Vado “A” and Pallacanestro Vado “B”, both tied at ten points in the standings but with Team “B” in front thanks to the difference in goals in head-to-head matches, which gained in their favor during the match of return, finished 72-52 at the Geodetico. Followed by Basket Cairo, whose path saw the team close the group with a record of 2-4. Finally, Cestistica Savonese also moves to the Smart Group with a record of 0-6.

In the Group C Basket Pegli conquered the top, author of a journey of five victories and one defeat, suffered on the last day by Cogoleto Basket. Sgrunters who, thanks to this victory, equalized the 6-3 record of MY Basket Genova “A” and, by virtue of the difference in goals in head-to-head matches (+2), gained the pass for the Top Phase. Biancoblù who instead access the Smart Phase, as well as Pallacanestro Busalla with a record of 1-5 thanks to the success of the first return match against Cogoleto away.

Basket Sestri takes first place in the Girone D thanks to the 5-1 record. Ten points in the standings and only one defeat, suffered on the second first leg against UISP Rivarolo at PalaMorante. The Rivarolese themselves took second place in the group thanks to a path characterized by four victories and two defeats. Followed by MY Basket Genova “B”, which thus enters the Smart Phase by virtue of a record of 6-2. A victory for the Meeting Club Genoa, obtained on the last day against UISP, and access to the Smart Phase for them too.

Five wins and one defeat in Group E for CUS Genova Basket, resulting in first place. Only one defeat for the Biancorossi, which came in the second leg against Pro Recco Basket 53-56, at the PalaCUS in Genoa. The Recco team took second place thanks to their 4-2 record. Just two points away is Auxilium Basket, third in the group with three wins and three defeats, therefore with access to the Smart Phase. As well as Ardita Juventus, with a record of 0-6.

Clear path for Next Step Rapallo in Girone F: six wins in six matches and +294 field goal difference. In second place was Tigullio Basket, capable of racking up four victories and two defeats in the six matches of the group and therefore accessing the Top Phase. Two victories and four defeats for Blue Sea Lavagna, which therefore enters the Smart Phase together with Villaggio Basket, stuck at a record of 0-6.

In the Group G Basket Follo took first place with a clear path: six victories out of six matches. Followed by Basket Sestri Levante, capable of accessing the Top Phase by concluding the head-to-head in their favor with Diego Bologna, third, two points behind and therefore heading to the Smart Phase. Two points for Gino Landini, fourth in the group with a record of 1-5, with a victory against Basket Sestri Levante at PalaBiagini 66-40.

Finally the Girone H, made up of three teams and the only one with a Clock Phase. Basket Golfo dei Poeti and Basket Canaletto enter the Top Phase, first and second respectively. Lericini authors of a clear path characterized by six victories in six matches. Spezzini second with a record of 3-3, followed by Basket Pontremoli, stuck in third place with a record of 0-6.
