ATP Announces Nominees for 2023 End-of-Year Awards

The 2023 season is coming to an end and it is time to take stock. The ATP is aware of this and has wasted no time. This week, the governing body of men’s professional tennis released the cast of nominations for its end-of-year awards. With the exception of the fan favorite player designated as his name indicates by the fans, four to five players were selected in the following five categories: best comeback, player with the most progress, youngster whose breakthrough was the most striking, the fairest player and the best coach.

The casting thus determined does not come from a choice of the ATP but from a vote of the International Tennis Writers’ Association (international association of tennis journalists) for three categories – comeback, fair play, player with the most progress – and another of the circuit coaches themselves (best coach). The selection of the young person who has had the most impact is based on a criterion that leaves no room for debate: entry into the Top 100 in 2023. And here are the nominations for the season.
