Bressans dominate in sold-out Ekinox, JL takes revenge, and Nanterre narrowly wins

In a sold-out Ekinox, the Bressans, pushed by their audience, started the match perfectly by winning the first quarter 27 to 12. Very skillful inside (64%), Freddy Fauthoux’s men dominated most of the meeting. But they scared themselves after a more sluggish third act, concluded by an exceptional shot at the buzzer from Saint-Quentinois, from midfield. Bourg-en-Bresse resisted in the last quarter to finally win with a 15-point lead.

Outclassed by the SQBB in the first leg, the JL took its revenge in the most beautiful way by winning a tenth success in a row, in all competitions.

Nanterre with forceps

Largely beaten by Nancy (91-71) in the first leg, Nanterre took their revenge Thursday evening by winning at home (89-88), in this clash between two play-off contenders. The Ile-de-France residents Desi Rodriguez (28 points, 12 rebounds) and Justin Bibbins (23 points, 9 assists) caused a lot of problems for the Lorraines. Despite the XXL match of this duo, Nancy showed good things and could have played a bad trick on her opponent.

With only one defeat at home since the start of the season (against Paris Basket, 98-67, on October 21), Nanterre continues its good performances at Maurice Thorez and revives after its setback in Limoges (79-68, Saturday). For her part, Nancy concluded a complicated month of December with four losses in five matches.
