De Bruyne returns to Manchester City training ahead of Club World Cup semi-final – Football – Sportacentrs.com

On Monday evening, Manchester City held a training session in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where the Club World Cup is taking place. Kevin De Bruyne, who missed four months due to a biceps muscle injury, also trained with the team.

The Belgian midfielder was injured in the season opener against Burnley, followed by surgery and rehabilitation. It is predicted that De Bruyne will probably not play in Saudi Arabia yet. The semi-finals will take place on Tuesday evening, while the finals and the bronze medal match will take place already on Friday.

De Bruyne, 32, is City’s engine in midfield. He has twice been recognized as the best footballer of the English Premier League season and has been included in the symbolic selection of the season five times. On the other hand, the attacking midfielder has been in the symbolic selection of the Champions League six times.

Erling Holland and Jeremy Docu did not participate in the training before tomorrow’s game. They will not play against Urawa Red Diamonds from Tokyo.
