First gold medal for Italy at the short course European Championships underway in Romania. In the last race of the day, the men’s mixed 4×50, Lorenzo Mora, Nicolò Martinenghi, Thomas Ceccon and Lorenzo Zazzeri won with a time of 1’30″78, ahead of Great Britain and the Netherlands. This brings the total to six of the Italian spoils in the first two days of competition in Otopeni.
