Héctor Cárdenas Announces Squad for Colombia U-23 National Team’s Last Microcycle Camp Before Pre-Olympic Tournament

Héctor Cárdenas announced the list of 23 footballers summoned to the last microcycle of work of the Colombia Under-23 National Team prior to the Pre-Olympic Tournament. The players will meet from January 3 to 16 at the sports headquarters of the Colombian Football Federation in Barranquilla.

The group is led by Óscar Cortés, former Milonarios player and currently at Lens in France. Likewise, the call of Carlos Andrés Gómez, from Real Salt Lake of the MLS, who also emerged in the lower divisions of the Bogotá team, stands out.

The National Team will debut in the Venezuelan Pre-Olympic Tournament on January 20 against Ecuador. Colombia is placed in Group A along with the hosts, the Ecuadorians, Brazil and Bolivia. Group B is made up of Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Paraguay and Peru.
