Manchester

Julen Lopetegui is being linked with Manchester United. Incidentally, the Spanish coach really wants to train in England again.

Lopetegui is currently unemployed after leaving Wolverhampton Wanderers last summer. He only coached Wolves for one season and reportedly left because of the financial problems the club was experiencing.

His name was one of those mentioned as rumors emerged of a change of manager at Manchester United. Other names are Graham Potter and Roberto De Zerbi.

News of a change of manager began to emerge within Old Trafford following MU’s inconsistency this season. It was also said that Ten Hag was not liked by a number of players, so there were rumors of a split.

It is also believed that Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s investment will trigger changes at the club. It is known that the businessman from Greater Manchester will buy 25% of MU shares.

Lopetegui personally still wants to continue his career on English soil. He enjoys the football culture here and the very competitive competition.

“I want to stay here in England. I feel like our team here is just starting and we want to achieve our dreams,” he said as reported by Standard.

“The way this country enjoys football is special, it’s the best league in the world, the most competitive league in the world, the best environment for players, coaches and also supporters.”

“I’ve fought for titles, I’ve fought for targets, but of course the most important thing is to feel that you have a project that can leave your mark, where you can work and improve the overall performance of the club.”

“If asked, I want this challenge and to be able to achieve every target the club has,” added the former coach of the Spanish national team and Real Madrid.
