Parma has reached an agreement for the 2024 season with pitcher Manuel Santana, fresh from four championships played with Collecchio. Santana, a right-handed pitcher born on June 6, 1996, finished the 2023 season with a record of 9 wins and 3 losses and a ERA of 2.25. In the four seasons played in Collecchio he collected 20 victories while suffering 16 defeats.
Santana has already worn the Parma Clima uniform from 2016 to 2018.
“I am very satisfied with the hiring of Santana, a pitcher who I trained for two years in Collecchio – the first comment from manager Marcello Saccardi -. In recent seasons he has grown in terms of attitude and confidence and now he is a complete and mature player. With Bocchi and Fabiani he will form a compact and interchangeable group.”
Santana will join Matteo Bocchi and Diego Fabiani in the group of Italian pitchers, replacing Mattia Aldegheri and Francesco Pomponi who will continue their careers in other clubs.
