During the group draw for the 2024 European Championship in Germany, UEFA’s live stream was disrupted by groaning noises.
In the video footage provided by UEFA, groaning, clearly taken from pornographic material, could clearly be heard during the final draw.
Lottey Brian Laudrup had to smile while his ticket was being drawn, and draw manager Giorgi Marchetti also noticed “noises” in the hall of the Elbphilharmonie.
The English comedian Daniel Jarvis subsequently claimed responsibility for the disturbance. On Saturday he documented on the platform X (formerly Twitter) how he manipulated the sound in the concert hall during the show.
According to the Swiss newspaper Blick, the European association later confirmed that the moans could be heard over the background music in the hall. UEFA did not reveal what the noise was.
The German national team escaped a group of death in the draw for next year’s European Championships. At the start, the DFB team will face Scotland, and coach Julian Nagelsmann’s team will also have to play against Hungary and Switzerland.
The tournament will take place between June 14th and July 14th in 2024.
