Travel bans continue to rain down on Ligue 1. The Ministry of the Interior published a decree this Tuesday to announce the measures taken for the 16th day of Ligue 1. Results: five matches this weekend are affected, starting with Lille-PSG. Parisian supporters will therefore be deprived of the Pierre-Mauroy stadium this Sunday at 8:45 p.m.
The Ministry of the Interior indicates in particular that the meeting presents “a real and serious risk of clash between the supporters of the two clubs”, because of “relations marked by animosity”. Among the examples, the violent brawl between Parisian and Lille supporters on April 29, 2012 in the North is cited, which led to 17 arrests at the time. The repeated incidents during the travels of Parisians and the presence of 500 supporters at risk this Sunday are also singled out by the authorities.
Reims, Nice, Brest and Rennes concerned
Among the other meetings concerned, we find Lens-Reims. Reims fans, already deprived of traveling last weekend to Nice, will perhaps hope to receive the same support from the Artésiens, who finally obtained reason for the decree by welcoming the Sevillians in due form this Tuesday evening, during their qualification for the Europa League (2-1). Le Havre-Nice, Nantes-Brest and Toulouse-Rennes are also affected.
To decide on the ban, the process is simple. Just look to see if the match is rated as risky by the National Division for the Fight against Hooliganism (DNLH), even at 1 out of 5 (i.e. many L1 and L2 matches). The authorities had decided to ban fan travel for matches classified as high-risk until at least December 18.
The women’s PSG will be concerned by the supervision of its supporters. Parisian fans will be able to attend the third D1 Arkema match on condition that they go directly to the Stade Océane enclosure upon their arrival in the city and “do not leave the stand in which they will be placed”.
