The historic scorer of the Uruguayan team, Luis Suárez, played his last game with Gremio for the Brasileirao this Wednesday. And he couldn’t have been in a better way. El Pistolero scored a double in Maracaná for his team’s victory against Fluminense, current champion of the Copa Libertadores, which however in the local tournament oscillated in the middle of the table.

Suárez scored his team’s first goal 43 minutes into the match, with a run in which he ended up eluding the rival’s goalkeeper.

Already in the second half, at 64 minutes of play, the scorer took a penalty to score his team’s third goal, in what was a temporary 3-1.

Suárez retired after 86 minutes of the match, when João Pedro, who had a ticket to Peñarol in 2011, entered in his place.

The match ended 3-2 in favor of Gremio, who finished second in the Brazilian league behind Palmeiras.

Piquerez champion with Palmeiras

Palmeiras, with a goal from forward Endrick, the young star who has already been signed by Real Madrid, tied this Wednesday at home 1-1 with Cruzeiro. In this way, Uruguayan full-back Joaquín Piquerez’s team was crowned two-time champions of the Brazilian league.

17-year-old Endrick, decisive in the last few days for Palmeiras to assume the lead, scored in the 20th minute when he took advantage of a rebound from his own shot, and Nikão, in the 81st minute, scored the tie for the Belo Horizonte team, according to what was recorded the agency EFE.
