Tesla Cybertruck Broken Window Sticker Sells Out Quickly

Broken window sticker for Tesla Cybertruck sold out quickly

“Oh my fucking God,” Musk said at that memorable moment. “Well, maybe that was a little too harsh.”

The ball didn’t go through the window, but it left a spider web of cracks in both side windows.

After Thursday’s Cybertruck delivery event, Tesla decided to capitalize on the embarrassment of 2019 with a broken glass sticker. Naturally, the decal, designed specifically for the Cybertruck’s uniquely shaped window, sold out quickly, the company said. It is unclear how many stickers were provided.

Tesla is offering window decals that replicate the windows that were broken during the original reveal of the 2019 Cybertruck.

The $55 sticker is placed on the driver’s side back seat window, not the front driver’s side window, which is also broken in real life. However, the rear side window is a window that the driver cannot see through, so covering it with a large sticker will not cause safety issues.

Von Holzhausen repeated the demonstration Thursday night at the Cybertruck delivery event with what looked like a baseball. The window didn’t break. However, his tentative throw probably wouldn’t have reached the bat in a real baseball situation.

The sticker is among a number of Cybertruck accessories listed on Tesla’s website, including a tailgate ramp, cargo rails and a $3,000 tent that integrates into the bed.

The prices for the truck itself start at about $61,000 for a two-wheel-drive version and range up to over $100,000 for a high-performance four-wheel-drive model called the Cyberbeast.
