A regrettable loss is faced by the national basketball team after the news of the death of the Creole player was announced this Friday Garly Sojowho was only 24 years old.
According to information released by sources close to the National Basketball Federation (FVB), the young forward who lived in Caracas, was at home when he suffered an epileptic attack which ended his life.
Everything indicates that the Creole basketball player suffered from various seizures and apparently the attack occurred when he was alone in his home.
It must be remembered that Sojo was part of the squad of the group Gladiators of Anzoátegui, team that came from a tour of Nicaragua as part of the commitments of the Basketball Champions League of the Americas.
The Creole player, who was a member of the vinotinto team, undoubtedly left an indelible mark on the team, given that he was destined to become a great star on the court.
Sojo came from playing in the recent World Basketball Championship which was held in the Philippines, Japan and Indonesia.
In Venezuelan basketball, Garly Sojo, 1.96 tall, debuted with Cocodrilos de Caracas in the Basketball Super League and he was also with the Caracas Broncos, where he won a Most Valuable Player award in the 2022 regular season.
Sojo saw action in the US with the Mexico City Capitanes, a team that is part of the G-League NBA.
