Frank Jeremies is apparently leaving Bayern at the end of the year. According to the club, the brother of the former FCB player Jens is listed in the Munich team for the 2023/24 season. Frank Jeremies is equipment manager alongside Lawrence Aimable, Sebastian Pflügler and Martin Dellemann and is therefore also responsible for Thomas Müller and his playing uniform.

“Dear Frank Jeremies – Thank you for all these years as part of our kit manager team,” wrote Müller shortly after Bayern’s 3-0 win against VfB Stuttgart. The 34-year-old also posted a photo together from the cabin. Müller smiles shirtless into the camera and raises his thumb while the equipment manager puts his arm around the player in a friendly manner.

Frank Jeremies war laut transfermarkt.de employed as a kit manager at FC Bayern since July 2015. It was initially not known why he was leaving the club. Jeremies was obviously very popular with the team and especially with Müller.

Frank is the brother of Bayern legend Jens Jeremies, who played in 248 games (13 goals) for Munich between 1998 and 2006. In addition to six championships and four DFB Cup victories, the 2002 runner-up won the Champions League in the 2000/2001 season. The 49-year-old previously played for the Munich Lions for three years. The resemblance between the two siblings is astonishing and immediately noticed by Bayern fans.

“Looks like Jens Jeremies,” one user wrote about Müller’s photo. Another follower said approvingly: “Also put the secondary characters of a team in the foreground. Important and right, Thomas.” A few hours later after the Champions League draw, Müller sent his first greetings to Rome – a bad omen? (ck)
