Tom Lockyer’s Current Condition
The medical team then gave Tom Lockyer first aid. After that, the 29 year old player was rushed to hospital to receive more intensive treatment.
Luton Town has confirmed the medical condition experienced by Tom Lockyer. Luton said the captain had suffered a heart attack.
“Our medical staff have confirmed that the Hatters captain suffered a heart attack on the pitch, but was able to react when he was taken off the pitch on a stretcher,” read an official club statement.
Currently, Tom Lockyer is in hospital receiving treatment. “He is in a stable condition and is currently undergoing further tests with his family at his bedside,” Luton said.

According to NBC Sports, Tom Lockyer had previously collapsed. The incident occurred in the Championship playoff final against Coventry City at Wembley in May 2023.
The match itself was won by Luton, which earned them the right to promotion to the Premier League for the first time in history.
After the incident, in the summer, Tom Lockyer underwent heart surgery. He was then given the green light to return to play.
