German tennis star Alexander Zverev has swapped roles at the Australian Open. The 26-year-old appeared on Instagram on Friday not playing tennis, but at the massage table. “The physio needs a physio himself right now. I think he tore a ligament in his foot,” he told Eurosport.

Christoph Seiler fell on a staircase in the stands and apparently injured himself; Zverev showed himself being treated in his Instagram post. The Olympic champion sits in front of a massage table and wraps a bandage around his right foot for his physio. Zverev’s older brother Mischa stands behind it with a skeptical look.

Despite two difficult matches at the first Grand Slam tournament of the year, Zverev seems to be in good spirits. In the first round he won in four sets against compatriot Dominik Koepfer. On Thursday he was challenged more than expected against Slovakian Lukas Klein in a five-set thriller. The American Alex Michelsen is waiting in his third game on Saturday (10.15 a.m./Eurosport).
