Algerian Coach Expresses Frustration Over Limited Substitutions in Friendly Match Against Egypt

The Algerian coach, Adel Amrouche, spoke about this Sunday’s meeting between his team, Tanzania and Egypt, in a friendly match a few days before the start of the African Cup of Nations.

The Algerian technician confided: “ When preparing for this friendly match, we planned to make changes during the match. They told us we could do it but they ultimately refused. If I knew I was going to come here to make only six substitutions, I wouldn’t have come. Honestly. The Egypt coach told me the same thing but the Egyptian Federation refused. »

« I have young players who I would have liked to play for a few dozen minutes against a big nation in order to motivate and prepare them. It’s an injustice for these young players. I’m not happy », continued Adel Amrouche.

The Tanzania coach added: “ The result of this match is not the most important thing. What matters will be the African Cup of Nations. I hope the best for the Egyptian selection. »
