Arthès Judo Club Excels in Departmental Competition and Introduces New Discipline

At the beginning of December, the Arthès judo club participated in the departmental chick and mini chick activity in Réalmont with club teacher Maxime Benoît.
Several little ones were proud to win their first prize. In the mini chicks category, Jeanne Costes came second as did Maryon Lledo. For third place, Camille Roux and Samuel Ibanez Gomes. In the chick category, first place Eloise Savy, second place Noélie Carayon, Edzio Ben Eddy and Kayden Ben Eddy, for third place Léo Delpoux and Luka Devos fourth. Congratulations to all the children and a special mention to the many little judokas who discovered the world of competition for the first time. The Arthésien judo club offers a new discipline from January with taïso, which is a gentle gymnastics of Japanese origin, every Tuesday from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the second floor of the associative space on rue Émile Roquefeuil. The session ends with flexibility and relaxation. Practicing this sport helps prepare your body for exercise. Taïso is aimed at beginners, athletes or non-athletes and above all at all generations. With Maxime Benoît, the session begins with a warm-up, then the exercises are varied with muscle strengthening, cardio and coordination. The practice of taiso allows you to prepare well for fights, to protect yourself and above all to improve your physical potential.
Note that the Arthésien judo club received the bronze club label from the hands of the French Judo Federation for its dynamism and good sporting results.
