AS Roma Secures a Win on De Rossi’s Debut

TRIBUNJAMBI.COM – AS Roma managed to win when they visited Salernitana headquarters in the Italian Serie A match on Tuesday (30/1/2024) early morning.

The Giallorossi won on coach De Rossi’s debut and he got Gianluca Mancini and Bryan Cristante back from suspension, but Leandro Paredes did not serve a ban due to injuries to Leonardo Spinazzola, Renato Sanches, Marash Kumbulla, Chris Smalling and Tammy Abraham.

Evan Ndicka and Sardar Azmoun are on international duty.

Salernitana remain bottom after three straight defeats, with Boulaye Dia, Lorenzo Pirola and Federico Fazio not fully fit.

Antonio Candreva’s half-volley shot straight at Rui Patricio from a difficult angle, and his trademark curling shot went over after rounding Edoardo Bove, while Norbert Gyomber made a sliding block on Romelu Lukaku’s effort.

There was tension before half-time when Lorenzo Pellegrini came on late for Junior Sambia and received a yellow card.

Just after the restart, Roma were awarded a penalty when Cristante put a cross into the arms of Giulio Maggiore.

Dybala sent Guillermo Ochoa the wrong way to convert and give his team the lead.

Nwankwo Simy nodded in from five yards after receiving Candreva’s cross, but Roma doubled their lead through a well-worked team move.

Dybala cut inside on the right and faked a cross, but instead fired a heel shot towards Rick Karsdorp, the ball crossed for Pellegrini to meet first at the back post.
