Atlanta Hawks’ Dejounte Murray Drawing Interest from Multiple NBA Teams

The outside of the Atlanta Hawks, Dejounte Murray, has a “substantial” group of teams interested in his services, with which they have already entered into the first commercial negotiations, according to the journalist from Yahoo Sports, Jake Fischer. Atlanta management is focused on restructuring its squad to fight for the playoffs and is not considering a deep reconstruction.

The Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers, Miami Heat and Detroit Pistons emerge as Murray’s main suitors, according to the ‘insider’. The San Antonio Spurs have also been linked to the ‘guard’, although they would not have any piece that would arouse the interest of the Hawks. Exploratory conversations are also reported from Brooklyn, although there does not seem to be a real inclination to bid for him. From ESPN They include the Golden State Warriors as potential buyers.

In fact, the Hawks are the ones who are showing greater aggressiveness in contacting other teams and proposing specific commercial packages. Fischer did not share any of these alleged offers in his report.

The four-year, $120 million renewal Murray signed last July will take effect next season. The 27-year-old point guard landed in Atlanta in June 2022 after wearing the San Antonio Spurs jersey during his first eight seasons in the NBA. This season he is averaging 21.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.4 steals in 36 games, all of them as a starter.
