Australian Open 11th Day: Zverev’s Big Match and Quarter-Final Schedule

On the 11th day of the Australian Open tournament, four quarter-finals will be played in the individual competitions at Melbourne Park.

From a German perspective, the focus is on the appearance of Olympic champion Alexander Zverev.

The 26-year-old will face world number two Carlos Alcaraz in the night session from around 11:00 a.m. CET.

In addition, three other German professionals, Laura Siegemund, Yannick Hanfmann and Dominik Koepfer, are competing in various doubles competitions.

  • Wednesday’s schedule at the Australian Open:

Betting Tips:

Alexander Zverev (GER/6) – Carlos Alcaraz (ESP/2)

A tennis treat. Alexander Zverev goes into the duel with Carlos Alcaraz in the first rounds with the expectation of tougher matches, but he leads 4:3 in a direct comparison with the Spaniard. Both players are among the favorites behind Novak Djokovic in Melbourne. Based on their previous performances in the tournament, Alcaraz should have the better chance of securing a ticket to the semi-finals. Betting tip: Carlos Alcaraz

Alexander Zverev – Carlos Alcaraz

Linda Noskova (CZE) – Diana Yasremska (UKR/Q)

A quarter-final that was not expected. Number 50 in the world rankings (Noskova) meets number 93 (Yastremska). The latter even had to go through qualification to secure a place in the main field. For both players, just reaching the quarterfinals is a personal Grand Slam record. Betting tip: Dayana Yastremska

Hubert Hurkacz (POL/9) – Daniil Medvedev (-/3)

Actually, Daniil Medvedev is clearly the favorite, but: Hubert Hurkacz, who also leads the overall comparison with the Russian with 3:2, won the last two duels. Nevertheless, Medvedev has better chances in Grand Slam competitions due to his playing ability, greater experience and coolness. Betting tip: Daniil Medvedev
