Australian Open 2022 Schedule and Key Matches on Sunday

This year the Australian Open starts on Sunday instead of on Monday as before – one more day of top tennis in Melbourne Park.

And things are getting hot right from the start. The German qualifier Ella Seidel challenges defending champion Aryna Sabalenka at prime time in the night session. A herculean task.

The prospects of Tamara Korpatsch, who will compete against the British Jodie Burrage on Court 13, are better.

For the men, the focus is on the first appearances of Jannik Sinner and defending champion Novak Djokovic. The Serb is the big favorite against qualifier Dino Prizmic and is aiming for his eleventh (!) title at this Australian Open.
