He is one of the big favorites for the major international indoor archery tournament which is taking place this weekend in Nîmes. The young Nîmes archer Baptiste Addis is one of the new nuggets of the discipline. And the native of Manduel is even a very serious candidate for selection in the French team for the next 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
White cap screwed on his head, quiver slung over his shoulder, Baptiste continues volleys on the shooting range of the Stade de l’Assomption, the stronghold of the Arc Club de Nîmes. Hours and hours of training to aim for the target but especially the top, the very high level. The kid, who celebrated his 17th birthday last month, discovered archery almost by chance around ten years ago. He experienced dazzling progress which he describes with astonishing detachment.

Until the big meeting, Baptiste will continue to juggle between 1st year studies at Insep, high-dose training and international competitions, a few games of video games to relax and wait, with all the serenity that characterizes it, for the dream to come true.
