In Group B, the USA defeated their peers Slovakia 10:2 (2:1, 3:1, 5:0) in the fight for the first place in the group, and the Czech Republic in the fight for the third place in the group 4:2 (1:0, 1:2, 2 :0) beat Switzerland.

USA won group B with 11 points in four games, second place was taken by Slovakia with nine points, seven points were collected by the Czech Republic, three by Switzerland, but Norway remained scoreless and will fight for the place in the elite division.

On Tuesday, Latvia will meet the USA, Finland – Slovakia, Canada – the Czech Republic and Sweden – Switzerland in the quarterfinals.

The top four teams from the groups advanced to the quarter-finals, while the two teams in fifth place will play one game to stay in the elite.

This year, players born in 2004 and younger can participate in the world championship.

The Masters will take place in Gothenburg from December 26 to January 5.
