Cigliano – 2024 begins with a defeat for the Rices who in Cigliano, in addition to losing, played without pathos, in short, quite badly. Who can be saved from the players employed by Galdi? The role of the point guard deserves a separate discussion. Cigliano’s match, however, promised to be difficult right from the start: the absences of Sow (very valuable in rebounding) and Paulato (one of the fittest youngsters) were known to be felt. Complicating life for the Rices was the injury to Liberali, scorer of 25 points, who was unable to make his contribution in the last quarter.
Down by 4 in the first quarter (18 to 14 for the hosts) and also in the second (34 to 30), the Rices collapsed in the third half: Cigliano was immediately ahead by 10 (42-32) and then a useless run : 56 to 44.
