Confident France victory over Iceland – sport.ORF.at

France remains undefeated at the European Handball Championships in Germany. On Saturday, “Les Bleus” celebrated a 39:32 (17:14) over bottom team Iceland in Austria’s main round group 1 and defended first place with a maximum of six points. The semi-finals are now within reach.

The second-placed ÖHB-Seven can reduce the gap to one point with another surprise from 8.30 p.m. (live on ORF1), this time against hosts Germany.

France presented itself confidently against the Icelanders from the start and always kept their opponents at a distance from 8:4 (14th). At the finish, the multiple world and European champion extended his lead. France’s next game is against Austria on Monday (6 p.m., live on ORF1).
