Festive debut for Germany in its Euro, against Switzerland

Germany started its first Euro at home amid jubilation at the Fortuna Düsseldorf stadium, converted for the event. Against Switzerland, the Nationalmannschaft managed a demonstration (27-14) in front of more than 53,000 spectators (53,586 tickets sold, i.e. sold out, the attendance record for a handball match).
