Jean Petit died at the age of 74 this Tuesday. A man of only one club, AS Monaco, he spent his entire playing career on the Rock, where he then made his career change. The story goes that the young Toulouse native fell in admiration for AS Monaco at the age of 13, when AS Monaco beat the TFC (5-0).
From that moment on, Petit had only lived to practice his profession as a professional footballer within the Monaco club.
His wish was granted in 1969, shortly before his 20th birthday, and certainly lasted well beyond the hopes of the kid from Toulouse.
