Football: Frosinone; Zortea arrives on loan from Atalanta – Calcio

The long Zortea negotiation has been unblocked. The right-back arrived at Frosinone on loan from Atalanta. In these hours he will carry out the medical visits, sign the contract and then should train with the group. Born in 1999, originally from Feltre in the Belluno area, ambidextrous, Nadir Zortea will be able to be used starting from the delicate salvation match on Sunday at 12.30 against Ranieri’s Cagliari. Lazio coach Eusebio Di Francesco can breathe a sigh of relief: he will finally have another full-back at his disposal who will fill the absences of Marchizza and Oyono.

Raised in the youth teams of Atalanta, former Cremonese, Salernitana and Sassuolo, Zortea has found little space in the Nerazzurri team this season, taking the field only 5 times. And so the decision to leave Bergamo came about.

This is Frosinone’s third reinforcement in the winter transfer market after Ghedjemis and Bonifazi. The player had already been blocked in December but the negotiation hit an impasse due to competition from other clubs such as Salernitana and the doubts of Atalanta coach Gasperini. The green light arrived practically the day after the Dea’s victory against Frosinone.

In the next few days it should be the turn of striker Alessio Zerbin who will leave Naples and return to Ciociaria where he played in 2021-2022 playing 31 games with 9 goals. Finally, Serbian talent Matija Popovic, born in 2006, could land via Napoli. The attacking midfielder, released from Partizan, would be signed by the Neapolitan club and then loaned to Frosinone.
