France-Sweden: Prandi’s incredible free kick which saves the Blues in the half of Euro 2024 handball

An unexpected end to the meeting! While the Blues were led by Sweden in the semi-final of the Euro handball, Elohim Prandi scored an incredible goal which allowed them to come back to 27-27 and go into overtime.

It was literally a missile that the Paris Saint-Germain left-back sent into the net of the Swedish goalkeeper, leaning to the left, the ball leaving at his hip. Enough to knock out the entire opposing team, while the match seemed to be over.

Their opponents seemed to have done the hard part after a complicated first half, which the French team largely dominated (17-11). Qualification for the final seemed certain for the Swedes who had a two-goal lead with less than a minute remaining in the match.

Less than 15 seconds from the end of regulation time, Sweden even thought they had regained a two-goal lead but their scorer was penalized with a walk! In the process, the Blues therefore recovered this famous free kick, magnificently negotiated by Elohim Prandi.

The extension smiled on the now unstoppable French. With a 34-30 victory the Blues qualify for the final on Sunday. They have not finished praising Prandi’s feat.
