Herzog wins European Championship bronze in the 500 m

Vanessa Herzog secured the bronze medal in the 500 m at the European Championships in Heerenveen on Saturday. The 28-year-old Tyrolean only had to admit defeat to the two Dutch women Femke Kok (37.28) and Jutta Leerdam (37.70) on her parade distance with a time of 37.89 seconds. For Herzog it was her seventh European Championship medal.
