Alarcón signed reserve/future contract with the San Francisco 49ersthat is, it has secured a spot on the 90-player roster who will begin the team’s offseason program.
The Mexican player arrives in San Francisco after three seasons on the practice squad with the Dallas Cowboyswho last year, already without the international player label provided by the NFL International Pathways program, let him go at the end of his fourth preseason.
“Congratulations, Isaac, well deserved.”the Cowboys’ All-Pro right guard, Zack Martin, who shared a team with Alarcón from the 2020 to 2023 preseason, published on social networks.

Alarcón, 25 years old, said his goal is to work as hard as he can, put into practice all the experience he gained the previous four seasons and try to get the greater number of repetitions in each training session and preseason games.
The first three seasons, since he arrived from the Borregos of Tec de Monterrey, Alarcón was an offensive lineman; first tackle and then guard. In his senior year he was moved to defensive tackle at the request of Cowboys coordinator Dan Quinn. “I love the talent of him, the size, the strength of him and he is very tough mentally,” Quinn said last summer. “I’ve seen him since he arrived. I’ve had my eyes on him and realized how tough he is in all aspects. “I always thought he’s a guy we should bring in, help him develop.”
“He’s a fast guy, faster than most offensive linemen.”he added.
Alarcón left the Cowboys last September. But He has never stopped working on the American football field with some of the most renowned offensive line coaches and athletic trainers. Every day he also goes to the gym.
During the most recent regular season he spent time with the same 49ers, Cleveland Browns, Indianapolis Colts y Miami Dolphins.
“Now it is about taking advantage of the opportunity that I have worked for”Alarcón said this week. “It is a very solid, strong organization that is always competing with the best.”
Alarcón will be in Las Vegas during Super Bowl week for promotional activities. He will then travel to his native Monterrey to settle personal matters and return to Dallas, where he currently resides, before traveling to Santa Clara, California, to report to the 49ers at their training facility.
The reserve/future contracts go into effect with the start of the NFL calendar year next March.
