Japan has officially revealed its roster for the Asian Cup of Nations. Three Pro League players appear there.
The Asian Nations Cup will take place from January 12 to February 10. A period feared by several Belgian clubs which will see some executives leave for Asia or the CAN instead of joining the team in training, and at the same time miss the resumption of the championship.
As expected (Standard had not received a summons), noHayao Kawabe in the list. No trace of Ryotaro Ito (Saint-Truiden) either despite his participation in last night’s friendly match against Thailand. On the other hand, Zion Suzuki (Saint-Truiden), Koki Machida (Union Saint-Gilloise) and Tsuyochi Watanabe (Ghent) are well selected.
We also find other well-known names from the Belgian championship like Ayase Ueda (ex-Cercle de Bruges), Wataru Endo, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Wataru Endo (ex-Saint – Trond), Kaoru Mitoma (ex-Union) or Junya Ito (ex-Genk).
