After four days of selection behind closed doors in Bordeaux, the French Archery Federation has revealed the names of those who will represent it. The archer from Boussières in Doubs, Jean-Charles Valladont, will be the leader of the men’s team. Baptite Addis, Nicolas Bernardi and Thomas Chirault will be at his side.
For the women, Lisa Barbelin will lead Caroline Lopez, Amélie Cordeau and Victoria Sébastien. World vice-champion Audrey Adiceom failed to qualify.
Of the 43 initial candidates, only 11, six women and five men, took part in this final stage of the selection. Athletes that the archery federation has chosen to professionalize for this year of preparation.
During these four days of selection, they carried out a series of exercises and tests. “The intensity of the selection test matched the event. The road is still long and the work that remains important”underlined the national technical director, Benoit Binon.

At the end of June, the federation will reveal which of the eight selected will be the two replacements for the men’s and women’s teams.
